About igbeats
Indian marketplaces are very good at making every price look like a bargain. A struck-through MRP nobody has ever paid, a percentage badge calculated from that fiction, and a countdown timer that resets when you reload. igbeats exists to cut through that: one place where you can see what a product actually costs today, across every marketplace, with the date we checked it.
What we do
- Track real prices. Every product we list is checked against Amazon, Flipkart, Croma, Myntra, Nykaa and Ajio, and we show the cheapest — including when that isn't the store that pays us most.
- Compare 90-day history, not MRP. A deal only goes on the site if today's price is genuinely below where the product has been sitting.
- Write guides that say "don't buy". If a product usually drops ₹6,000 during Big Billion Days, we tell you to wait. That costs us a commission and earns us a reader.
- Show our dates. Every price on this site carries the date it was verified. Prices move; undated prices are useless.
How we make money
Affiliate commission. When you buy through a link here, the marketplace pays us a small percentage out of their own margin. You pay exactly the same price you would pay going to the site directly. There are no ads and no sponsored placements.
The obvious conflict is that we earn only when you buy. Our answer is structural rather than a promise: the comparison table points at whoever is cheapest, mechanically, and we publish the "wait for the sale" advice that costs us money. If our recommendations ever read like they were written to close a sale, we've failed at the only thing that makes this site worth visiting twice.
What we won't do
We won't accept payment for a ranking, we won't hide a cheaper marketplace because it pays us less, and we won't publish a "best of" list for a category we haven't actually researched. Brands cannot buy a place on this site at any price.
Corrections
Prices change and we get things wrong. If you spot an error, tell us and we'll fix it and note the change rather than editing quietly. Reply to any email from us, or write to [you@yourdomain.com].
