Click counting without storing your IP address
When you click a buy button, we count the click against that product. To avoid counting the same person twice in a day we store a one-way, salted code that changes every day — we do not store your IP address and cannot use this code to identify you.
Cookies and local storage
We store your light/dark theme choice in your own browser. Stores and affiliate networks set their own cookies when you click through to them, to credit a purchase to us — those are controlled by them. See our cookie policy.
Who we share data with
- Our hosting provider (Hostinger), which stores the website and its database.
- An email service provider, if we use one to send the newsletter.
We do not sell, rent or trade personal data. We do not share subscriber emails with advertisers — sponsors receive only aggregated numbers (impressions and clicks).
Your rights
Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 and similar laws you can ask us to tell you what data we hold about you, correct it, or erase it, and you can withdraw consent at any time (for the newsletter, use the unsubscribe link in any email). Email hello@igbeats.com; we will respond within 30 days. If you are unhappy with our response you can raise a grievance with us at the same address.
Children
igbeats is not directed at children and we do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18.
Security
The site is served only over HTTPS. Our admin area is protected by two separate logins, and uploaded files are stored outside the public website.
Changes
If this policy changes materially we will update the date at the top of this page.
