What can be sponsored
- Sponsored product cards on the homepage, deals page, category pages or alongside a buying guide
- Sponsored deals
- Sponsored articles, written by igbeats and labelled “Paid Partnership”
- Featured-brand spotlights
- Banners
- Sponsor blocks in our newsletter and Telegram channel
- Featured or sponsored wholesaler listings (when the directory is live)
How sponsored content is labelled
- Every unit carries the word Sponsored or Paid Partnership at the top, in a style that is easy to see, on mobile and desktop.
- The sponsor’s name is shown on the unit.
- Links in sponsored units use
rel="sponsored". - In the newsletter and on Telegram, the label appears before the content, not after it.
We follow the spirit of the Advertising Standards Council of India (ASCI) guidelines on disclosure and the Central Consumer Protection Authority’s guidelines on dark patterns: advertising should be obviously advertising.
What sponsorship never buys
- A position in any editorial ranking or “best” list
- An “Editor’s pick” badge, a score or a verdict
- Approval of, or changes to, editorial content
- The removal of criticism or of a competitor
What we refuse
- Products we cannot verify: unclear seller, no warranty, or misleading pricing
- Fake reviews, fake ratings, fake urgency or countdown timers
- Claims of guaranteed results, medical claims, financial-return claims, gambling, betting or adult products
- Counterfeit or grey-market goods
- Anything illegal in India
Reporting
Sponsors receive impressions, clicks and click-through rate for their campaign, measured by our own tracking. We never share readers’ personal data with sponsors.
Our right to remove
We may pause or remove a sponsored placement if the product, price or seller changes in a way that would mislead readers. Interested? See advertise with us.
